Meet Our Lead Photographer
Leonard, a native New Yorker, was introduced to Detroit by the late great Honorable Erma Henderson in 1972. It was in that year that Photography by Crosby opened for business in metro Detroit. Since that time Leonard T. Crosby, Founder, CEO and Photographer has traveled throughout the United States photographing notable Americans and established a well-earned reputation as one of Detroit's most outstanding photographers.
His myriad of professional experience has provided extensive expertise in the areas of photographing people, nature and architecture as well as creating interactive new media photography for brochures, annual reports, calendars, billboards, newsletters, magazines, web pages and print advertising.
As a student of photography since his days as a photographic assistant in his father's New York studio, Leonard has developed a keen eye, sharp focus, understanding of composition, lighting and balance, excelling in the classroom (New York Institute of Photography, North Carolina A & T) and hands on experience providing quality work that matters.
He thoroughly understands the importance of your event and with the eye of an artist captures those special moments as a living tribute for posterity. Leonard is committed to providing the perfect pictorial documentary of your special event: authentic images that show real personalities. Every event is unique and is approached from the standpoint of providing you with the individualized, customized service that you want and deserve.
